Award Description: CDBG-R funding under ARRA for infrastructure improvements, housing rehabilitation, and youth construction job training.

Project Description: Street reconstruction, utility upgrades, pedestrian infrastructure, and stormwater management infrastructure construction; Youth Construction Training Program; and Housing Rehabilitation.

Infrastructure Description: Complete reconstruction of one city block with utility upgrades, greenspace, curbs, sidewalks, and street trees. This was a street with severely compromised infrastructure and utility services. Other improvements included pedestrian safety improvements to sidewalks and installation of green infrastructure - pervious pavemement for stormwater management.

Jobs Summary: 20 seasonal construction (Carpentry, Masonry, GC) jobs created under the Youth Construction Training Program. 2 General Construction jobs retained on the housing rehabilitation projects; and 3 jobs retained on street reconstruction projects. (Total jobs reported: 6)
