Award Description: Replacement of the building curtainwall and roofing system. The skin replacement will attempt to reverse a significant energy loss in the existing structure. This work will impact related building systems such as the perimeter lighting controls if daylight harvesting techniques can be utilized along with renewable energy resource systems to assist in the energy consumption of the building.
Project Description: Investigation efforts to begin the project design team's task. Jacob's has developed an energy model and thorton Tomesetti has begun their structural model to test the new skin options on the frame of the building. Architectural and curtainwall investigation has included site visits to reconfirm existing conditions.
