Award Description: This project has two main work efforts: one is to repair damaged and deteriorated gasketing at myriad curtain wall locations; the other is to repair and/or replace failed insulation at assorted spandrel panel locations. The overall purpose of these efforts is two-fold: first to correct defective materials which are contributing to the loss of energy and thus raising the building's utility costs, second to correct conditions which currently allow moisture to infiltrate the building's envelope and potentially contribute to degradation of the work environment. The expected outcome of this project will be to eliminate air and water infiltration into the building through these two sources thus lowering the building's energy consumption and improving the overall occupant environment. Deliverables will include design drawings and specifications appropriate to the Government's intended method of project delivery.
Project Description: Initial services performed included review of GSA provided studies and implementation of concepts therein related to design of new chillers for the subject building's mechanical system. Deliverables included preliminary design documentation related to a chiller-based mechanical system.
Jobs Summary: The first portion of this project kept one architectural project manager and approximately three engineers busy for about two weeks. (Total jobs reported: 1)
Project Status: Less Than 50% Completed
