Award Description: Under ARRA funding, the primary goal of DHCD's Office of Community Programs is to provide CSBG funding to local eligible entities and to provide administrative oversight to Maryland's Community Action Agencies for a range of services and activities designed to assist the low income population of the State to achieve and maintain self-sufficiency. A secondary goal is to facilitate and encourage the coordination and establishment of linkages among government agencies, social services organizations and the private sector to assure the effective planning and delivery of services to the low income population of Maryland.
