Award Description: To help supplement the diets of low-income persons by making funds available to States for processing, storage and distribution costs incurred by State agencies and local organizations in providing food assistance to needy persons.
Project Description: Funds were used by emergency feeding organizations to cover approved administrative costs such as fuel for delivery trucks, cleaning and repairing warehouse gutters, and repairing a food storage freezer, in operation of The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). The program aims to alleviate hunger in low-income families across Arizona.
