Award Description: The ten (10) Ventura County agencies jointly applying for this grant will utilize the funding for enhancement items, including: surveillance equipment, police cruisers, GPS instruments, computer equipment, contractual agreements, personnel costs to operate student anti-truancy, proficiency training, security cameras, computer forensic investigations, weapons replacement, electronic control devices, laser measuring equipment, digital cameras, personnel for potential terrorist targets, ballistic vest replacements and a community prosecutor program. The various expenditures are needed to improve the safety and quality of life of the residents and visitors of Ventura County.
