Award Description: In keeping with the purposes of the Recovery Act, award funds will be utilized for hiring and retaining criminal justice and victim service personnel who respond to violent crimes against women, as well as supporting other strategies that create and preserve jobs and promote economic growth while improving responses to domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Project Description: Recovery Act VAWA Advisory Committee established. Implementation Plan developed and forwarded to Office on Violence Against Women on 9-4-09. Also participated in federal OMB and DOJ webinars on ARRA reporting.
