Award Description: Our proposed IDS project will enable us to create two new primary care teams, which will equal eight new FTE positions. This provider increase will significantly reduce the waiting list of patients in need of a primary care provider; enable us to serve 4,000 new patients; and fortify our comprehensive health care strategies for the uninsured and underserved communities we serve.
Project Description: EBNHC has hired 7 of the 8 positions awarded by the IDS grant. The positions comprise the two medical teams who are treating the proposed 4000 new patients, with 1200 of them (30%) uninsured. One final position is expected to be filled in the upcoming quarter, at which point we will have completed 100% of filled positions for the grant.
