Award Description: The WAP grant is intended to provide assistance to reduce energy costs for low-income families, particularly for the elderly, people with disabilities, and children, by improving the energy efficiency of their homes while ensuring their health and safety.

Project Description: The stimulus weatherization program will expand efforts to audit income-qualified homes and install energy efficiency measures to reduce energy use. DDOE is preparing grant agreements and awards for community-based partner organizations and posting position descriptions to hire additional program staff.
