Award Description: Invest in public transportation to purchase diesel vans and compressed natural gas buses to replace existing vans and buses.
Project Description: This grant has allowed the subrecipients to place orders for purchase of three CNG buses and five vans to replace buses and vans that have reached the end of their useful service life. An order for five additional replacement vans will be placed shortly. These vehicles will improve transit service through use of new vehicles, and also lower transit operating costs.
