Award Description: ARRA - Capital Improvement Program
Project Description: CIP funds will be utilized to revisit workflow and align space to accommodate the inclusion of the dental department within the present single 3000 square foot medical and administrative location. The current floor plan will require rethinking as patient flow, workspace, and current ADA requirements will need to be reconfigured. Of particular concern is the renovation of heretofore administrative operations such that dental is relocated and the crafting of sufficient patient waiting, check in and check out space to accommodate a projected 700 patients that would seek dental services in the new one-stop-shop location. Of equal concern is the readiness of the patient population to be referred on the same day to medical and or behavioral health services and the conduciveness of the space to facilitate such. The prevailing thought, however, is that the creation and potential of a one-stop-shop far outweighs reservations that such renovation is sufficient to prepare the organization for a future beyond three or five years. We look forward to submitting an application, as funds become available, to build new a facility befitting the rural community and the needs contained therein.
