Award Description: ICHC has outgrown its dental facility in Innis. In addition, the current buildings are old and a challenge to maintain. The CIP project will leverage state funding to increase the number of dental operatories from 2 to 3 and provide a new, updated facility to enhance quality and efficiency. ICHC has also outgrown its Livonia primary care faciity. The CIP project will also leverage state funding to increase the square footage of space available through a new, updated facility. This too will enhance quality and efficiency.
Project Description: ICHC has made progess on their CIP activities during the second quarter, although these are still less than 50% complete. Concerning the new dental facility in Innis, the application has passed the architectual review phase at the HRSA level and the design has been finalized to use modular buildings. ICHC will now identify an environmental engineer to complete the environmental impact study (EIS) after which an RFP for the project will be released. The Livonia project application is still under architectural review at the HRSA level, once this is completed ICHC will move forward in identifying site, design, etc. Lastly, no funds have been drawn down or expenses incurred for either these CIP projects to date.
