Award Description: The CDBG-R funding will be used to undertake infrastructure projects which support Seminole County's low and very low income residents via three projects. Funding will be provided to the City of Sanford Housing Authority (AUTHORITY) as investment in essential infrastructure in the form of street and walkway lighting improvements for the AUTHORITY's Redding Gardens Housing Complex, a residential rental property to be designated specifically for very low income senior citizens located at 400 South Locust Avenue Sanford, Florida. Funding will also be provided for the rehabilitation of the wastewater collection system within the AUTHORITY's Castle Brewer Court Housing Complex located at 94 Castle Brewer Court Sanford, Florida totaling 126 dwelling units for low income residents. This will provide enhanced personal safety and a cleaner physical environment for the AUTHORITY's residents. A total of of $128,367 in CDBG-R funding will be provided for the repaving of the streets in the Jamestown Community (CDBG Target Area), an unincorporated community within Seminole County, as a result of the new water and sewer infrastructure installed in the community.
