Project Description: Negotiations are underway to establish contracts with sub-recipients (the Akron Metropolitan Housing Authority and Habitat for Humanity). All projects are in planning stages. Projects involve loans, grants and technical assistance for housing rehabilitation, neighborhood infrastructure improvements (street resurfacing, walks, curbs, etc.), removal of deteriorated housing, matching grants for exterior improvements for neighborhood businesses, support of the Edgewood HOPE VI development, support of the Habitat ReStore and matching grants to support neighborhood based initiatives and activities.
