Award Description: This project uses CDBG-R funding to provide eneryg efficieny and health and safety improvements to the Abused Women's Aid in Crisis (AWAIC), a 52 bed emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence located at 100 W. 13th Ave. Anchorage, Alaska. The goal is to increase the buildings efficiency between 10% to 15% saving AWAIC between $4,000 and $5,000 per year in utility costs.
