Award Description: The program supplements the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) which serves persons with low incomes who are 55 years old or older by providing: up to 20 hours a week of part-time employment in community service assiganment: job training and related educational opportunities and placement opportunities.
Project Description: To date, NYSOFA has received the federal grant award and issued grant awards to 10 local grantees. The local grantees have been enrolling eligible low-income individuals aged 55 or older into the program and have begun training them for unsubsidized employment.
