Award Description: Head Start 2009 ARRA-COLA Quality Improvement Funding
Project Description: 1. Support of Head Start Education Assistants in obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA)to meet the minimum Head Start staff certification requirements. 2. Provision of curriculum training to Head Start teachers in the supported, research-based curriculum. 3. Purchase and installation of developmentally appropriate playground equipment for preschool children at Pettigrew Elementary. 4. Support continued programming for children in full day programming through the summer months.
