Award Description: 1) ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act
Project Description: Project Description: - Hire two full-time employees (Dual Language Learner (DLL) & Bilingual Floater (BF)) - Provide professional development to teaching staff to improve staff qualifications (through use of DLL) - Purchase classroom supplies for use by the DLL - Increase the compensation and benefits to staff through a quarterly cost of living adjustment Quarterly Activities: - DLL hired (starts on 10/1/09) - BF interviewing in process - DLL training for staff scheduled for 10/2/09 - DLL classroom observations scheduled for Oct-09 - Staff received the first qtrly incentive payment (25% of total payment)
