Award Description: ARRA - Capital Improvement Program
Project Description: Rodgers South Renovation: Management has completed the facility bid process for the renovation of the Rodgers South building. Management staff has selected the vendor and has finalized the contract. The renovation project will start within the next 60 days. The project will include the parking lot expansion, repair of interior openings, replacement of interior and exterior doors and hardware, replacement of carpet, conversion of restrooms to uni-sex; as well as replacement of windows and exterior fixtures. Foster Care Renovations: The Foster Care architectural drawings are complete and the scope of work has been amended and approved by the project officer. The request for proposals will be submitted within the next 30 days. IT Equipment Upgrade: Management has selected the vendors for the telephone upgrade and the patient queuing system. The telephone equipment upgrade will provide for an efficient phone service that will allow staff to roll-incoming calls to other staff, retrieve phone messages via e-mail and will merge remote sites long-distance service to one central location. The implementation process will occur in the next 60 days. The patient queuing system will also be in place in the next 60 days. The queuing system will enhance the patient flow process from the time the patient enters the Health Center to the time the patient exits the Health Center. The van has been selected and has been ordered. Delivery is expected in the next 30 days. The van will seat eight ambulatory people including the driver and up to two standard sized wheelchairs.
