Award Description: To provide job training and educational opportunities for at-risk youth ages 16-24 while constructing or rehabilitating affordable housing for low-income or homeless families in their own neighborhoods. The program includes significant support systems, such as mentoring, placement in education and employment, personal counseling services, civic engagement, and participation in community service.
Project Description: During the quarter (July 1 - September 30), staff have been involved in on-site, off-site and online training opportunities. All staff have participated in learning sessions regarding program set-up, organization, performance objectives and program requirements. The Case Manager attended training in Texas (9/15-17).
