Project Description: 1. Keeps the CESAJ-OD-M Branch Chief, District Inspection of Completed Works Manager and asset users informed as to the status of all products being developed. Discusses all recommendations with CESAJ-OD-M Branch Chief, District Inspection of Completed Works Manager and asset users before proceeding with design and plan development. 2. The archiving of historical engineering documents and plans includes the following tasks - locate, review, prepare, assemble, scan to PDF type files or for scanning by others, and maintain a record of status of each set. 3. This position requires application of engineering knowledge and abilities to review documentation of various projects and identify, list, rectify any possible inconsistencies with completeness of documentation. 4. Applying desktop publishing features for PDF files such as bookmarks and hyperlinks. 5. As scanned document sets are completed or received incumbent is to review for image quality, desktop publishing user features, then file as appropriate. 6. Inspections and reporting are to be performed in accordance with applicable USACE regulations and guidance. (An internet reference location and a list containing the regulations will be provided.) 7. Maintains continuous contact with liaison officers of the using services to insure product development is progressing satisfactorily to meet their needs, and keep them informed of any uncontrollable delays which might affect completion of the project. 8. Participates and is actively involved in project scope, time, cost and quality issues to meet customer expectations. Supports Operations Division as required on technical issues.
