Award Description: Census In Schools
Project Description: Task Order #21, focuses on Census In Schools. Draftfcb working closely with partner Scholastic, Inc. will develop: a program for K?8 English Language Learners in the 50 states and Washington, DC, materials for grades 9?12 in Puerto Rico, and kid-friendly activity sheets for the upcoming Road Tour. A Parent Take-Home page will be transcreated in 25 languages. Pre-K materials developed for Census 2000 will be updated. In addition, expanded printing and distribution of some existing materials for Census In Schools is covered within this task. Activities for the qyarter included: 1. ELL: Began Creation of Teaching Guide for K-8, with Lessons & Worksheets 2. 9-12 Puerto Rico: send Round 1 of Teaching Guide and Map to client 3. Parent Take-Home: Parent Take Home being Transcreated into 25 languages. 4. Pre-K: Updating of Big Boo and Little Book has begun 5. Road Tour: Began development of English and Spanish Activity Sheets for K-8 Stateside.
