Award Description: The Architect-Engineer (A-E) shall prepare a Design Report (DR), a geotechnical report, and detailed construction drawings and specifications for Phase 2 of the Lower Mission Creek flood control project located in the City of Santa Barbara. This second phase of the project extends from Mason Street to Castillo Street, which is subdivided into channel reaches 1B, and 3 through 7. Reach 1B of the project extends from the proposed Mason Street bridge to Yanonali Street, approximately 520 linear feet; Reach 3 extends from the upstream side of US 101 to Gutierrez Street, approximately 300 feet; Reach 4 extends from Gutierrez Street to Haley Street, approximately 500 feet; Reach 5 extends from De La Vina Street to Cota Street, approximately 550 feet; Reach 6 extends from Cota Street to Ortega Street, approximately 500 feet; and Reach 7 extends from Ortega Street to the upstream end of the project at Castillo Street, about 1,000 feet. Final Design Material will consist of contract drawings, specifications, design backup/calculations, cost estimate, quantity estimates, and Engineering Considerations and Instructions for Field Personnel (ECIFP). The above design material shall be prepared in accordance with sound engineering judgment, engineering criteria (Federal, State and Local), USACE policy, and shall follow procedures outlined in this scope of work. In addition, the work and services shall include all management and documentation of coordination activities required to successfully produce all work in accordance with this scope.
Project Description: Tt has begun the initail project set up including a QC Plan, an inventory of all utilities within the project reach, obtaining of existing facility design plans, alignment calculations and misc. project meetings. Geotechnical and 60% design plans to be completed in the next 2 months
