Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Session 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act.
Project Description: Project Description - Hire one teacher, improve playground safety, provide professional development to teaching staff to improve staff qualifications, increase the compensation and benefits of staff though a cost of living adjustment. Quarterly Activities - One teacher has been hired. Four staff are enrolled in college courses in early childhood development at the University of Rio Grande. All staff received a cost of living adjustment effective April 1, 2009. Fencing at Parkview site has been installed to increase playground safety. Minor building maintenance work has also been completed at Parkview site.
