Award Description: The Kaw Nation Health Center will undergo renovations in order to conform to applicable federal and state statutes. Construction approvals or operating permits will be obtained as necessary to ensure compliance of the completed project. Projects shall be reviewed by experienced staff for compliance and quality assurance during development and shall be designed and/or overseen by an engineer licensed in the state of Oklahoma in which the project is to be completed. The scope of the project consists of the installation of water softener systems to reduce operational costs, the renovation of the clinic bathrooms to meet ADA requirements for handicapped accessibility, replace HVAC units to reduce operational costs, and repairs to an underground water service line, including regrading and landscaping to divert runoff water away from the clinic.
Project Description: Work has been completed on the water softener systems. HVAC units have been installed. Work for bathroom renovations and repairs to underground water service line and landscaping are scheduled to begin by the end of October 2009.
