Award Description: This project provides for the construction of water supply and wastewater disposal facilities for an estimated 154 Indian owned homes located within the boundaries of the Cherokee Nation in Cherokee County, Oklahoma, as identified under Sanitation Deficiency System (SDS) Project OK11999-1H01. The total ARRA Indian Health Service cost for providing sanitation facilities to these homes is estimated to be $417,000. The ARRA funds are projected to be utilized for • $417,000 Water Treatment Plant The Rural Water District has contributed $1,643,000 to supplement the IHS ARRA contribution for a total project cost of $2,060,000.
