Award Description: Grant funds under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, 2009, Public Law 111-5, February 17, 2009 provide that the Maritime Adminstration shall establish an assistance program for small shipyards to be used for capital improvements, and related infrastructure improvements at qualified shipyards that will be effective in fostering efficiency, competitive operations, and quality ship construction, repair, and reconfiguration. Under the Grant received, Offshore Inland Marine & Oilfield Services, Inc. was awarded funds to purchase the following equipment: (i) Telescoping Boom All Terrain Forklift, (ii) Two Rack Systems for Inverter Power Sources, (iii) Wire Feeders, (iv) Two Diesel Welding Machines, (v) 25 70 Degree Torches, (vi) 20 90 Degree Torches, (vii) Press Brake, and (viii) Plate Roller.
Project Description: The Grant Receipient has order and made deposits on the following pieces of equipment as of September 30, 2009: (i) Diesel Welding Machines, (ii) Wire Feeders, (iii) Rack System for Inverter Power Sources, (iv) Plate Roller, and (v) Telescoping Boom all Terrain Forklift. The following pieces of equipment will be ordered by October 15, 2009: (i) Torches (both 70 and 90 Degree) and (ii) Press Brake.
