Project Description: Ongoing groundwater restoration program with curtailing of land application (irrigation) program for the year.
Jobs Summary: These jobs were not created but retained for ongoing work. We have three utility operators who work with all phases of the water flow - whether it's injecting or collecting water. They work with keeping the flow going from installing new pumps to repairing old ones, installing new pipelines to repairing existing ones, and maintaining a reverse osmosis unit to process between 300 and 600 gallons of water per minute. All phases of groundwater restoration are incorporated in the daily job from evaporation, freshwater injection, tailings dewatering, tailings flushing, reverse osmosis, and land application (irrigation). In addition, we have a utility operator / radiation technician who handles all aspects of the water sampling program as well as maintains the ALARA program. Also, we have a field supervisor who is involved with ALL previously mentioned positions. Along with these positions, we have a site supervisor / engineer and project manager who oversee the site dealing with all agencies, permitting issues, public relations, managing contractors and legal issues. The environmental technician / administrative assistant enters data and maintains our extensive groundwater database as well as all secretarial duties for the site. The accountant handles invoices, payroll, human resource issues as well as record handling, preparation and submittal of annual DOE Title X reimbursement claim. (Total jobs reported: 9)
