Award Description: Conduct modernization activities at various Public Housing Developments. This funding can be expected to result in providing employment for general laborers, painters, siding contractors, window installers, sign designers,landscapers and product manufacturers and distributors. This funding will substantially modernize public housing units by replacing old windows with modern energy efficient ones; replacing appliances with new energy star units; constructing individual 8'x10' storage sheds for our residents use; installing signage at each development; replacing old exterior storm doors with more air tight new ones; repairing, replacing and painting exterior siding of resident buildings and upgrading landscaping and curb appeal of the various developments.
Project Description: This quarter we installed 28- 8'x10' storage sheds for our residents. replaced 61 windows, installed 8 permanent signs and atttractive complimenting landscaping, replaced 1 refrigerator (more to come- along with new ranges in next quarter.) We did a cost study and sought quotes for sidng replacement,repair and painting to come in next quarter. we also paid adminstrative costs for supervision and inspection of the affomentioned projects.
