Award Description: The purpose of our grant is to add an additional nurse to our pediatric department to increase our ability to do more well child exams, to hire a translator and to hire a family practice physician.
Project Description: By hiring an additional pediatric nurse, the pediatrician will be able to see more patients, particularly well child exams. By hiring a translator we will be better able to care for the Hispanic population of our area. The additional physician will allow us to see more uninsured patients.
