Award Description: The purpose of this award is to expand access to needed primary health care services specifically by expanding services at existing health center sites in an underserved area or for an underserved population.
Project Description: _____We hired 1.0 FTE family nurse practitioners, and 0.6 FTE dentists.
Infrastructure Description: This project addresses community need by increasing the capacity of 2 sites through a combination of staffing additions that includes: adding 1 new family nurse practitioner medical provider; and increasing dental providers by .6 FTE at the 2 sites. and increasing the efficiency of the current operations at these sites. These additions will bring additional jobs to hard hit communities. Adding providers will decrease waiting times for appointments, open up many appointments for walk-ins and new patients, and provide reassurance to those unable to pay for their health care that they may be seen.
