Award Description: Invest in public transportation by performing preventive maintenance on existing transit vehicles, rehabilitating of existing transit vehicles and facility engineering/design for a new bus maintenance facility.

Infrastructure Description: PDRTA's use of this grant will ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is performed on all it's transit vehicles and by rehabilitating the agency's trolley buses will contribute to the preserving and maintaining jobs and promoting economic recovery in mass transit transportation, thereby assisting those most impacted by the recession. By engineering and design of a new maintenance facility and the rehabilitation of the facility's site will therefore invest in transportation, environmental protection, and other infrastructure that will provide long-term economic benefits.
