Award Description: Improve teaching and learning for students most at risk of failing to meet State academic achievement standards

Project Description: The Title I, Part A program provides financial assistance to LEAs and schools with high numbers or high percentages of poor children to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Recovery Act funds create new opportunities for educators to implement innovative strategies in Title I schools that improve education for at-risk students and close achievement gaps while also stimulating the economy.
