Award Description: the City of Pompano Beach HPRP funding will be used for two (2) of the HPRP eligible activities: Financial Assistance (e.g. rental assistance and security deposits) and Stabilization Services (including case management to help program participants obtain housing stability). Both activities will focus on clients in need of homelessness prevention or rapid re-housing assistance. The City of Pompano Beach has teamed up with other major cities in Broward County and hired the Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Inc. to handle the case work. The City of Pompano Beach offers Homeless Assistance and Homelessness Prevention. Under these pprograms we offer Financial Assistance in the form of Rental Assistance and Utility Payments. Under the Housing Relocation and Stabilization Services, we offer Case Management, Housing Search and Placement and Legal Services.
Project Description: The City of Pompano Beach has teamed up with the City of Hollywood, the City of Fort Lauderdale and other cities and contracted with Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Inc. to offer the city's HPRP services. The Broward Regional Health Planning Council, Inc. has begun using the 211 call center for intake of the participants of Pompano Beach.
