Award Description: Provide quality assurance support to DOE/RL. Individual tasks are assigned by the DOE/RL Assistant Manager for Safety and Environment, and deliverables are entered into the DOE/RL OA Database.
Project Description: Reviewed corrective actions for two DOE/RL audits and a contractor audit; Reviewed receipt inspection documents for suspect/counterfeit items at AVS; and Conducted Oversight Assessments on the following topics: QA Requirement Flow-Downs ? CHPRC QA Requirement Flow-Downs ? WCH. WCH: Set meeting for follow-up to discuss concerns re: HASQARD to WCH-314 flow down. Met with WCH for the purpose of identifying opportunities for monitoring of field sampling activities to assess processes relative to quality of data used for cleanup decisions field environmental sampling (e.g., water, soil, biota), chain-of-custody and pedigree per quality requirements. Communicated identified HASQARD Vol. 1 issues in entirety to WCH for factual accuracy check. Conducted follow-up to discuss schedule for monitoring field sampling activities. Coordinated WCH surveillance (issues management screening team) UniTech: Conducted pre-assessment planning, document review and meetings associated with assessment at UniTech: Met with RL Contracting Officer?s Representative (Wible) Reviewed contract document. Coordinated meeting and plant walkthrough. Attended initial site visit and meeting with UniTech Plant Manager (Dave Barrow). Met with COR for UniTech contract (issue?s discussion) Performed and documented Operational Awareness (OA) activity in support of ARRA planned oversight addressing significant vulnerabilities. Submitted 13 Operational Awareness Reports for the period: ERDF, UniTech, Washington Closure Hanford (WCH) Implemented database tool for DOE RL AMSE staff use to capture, prioritize, ARRA opportunities and track progress/report status of approved assessment items from Planned Oversight Addressing Significant Vulnerabilities (POASV) list and others. Populated several items upon request. Completed (at request of EM-64) review and feedback (issues/recommendations) of EM Corrective Action Program database system (EM QA Hub).
