Award Description: A/E services for the Project Initiation and Discovery Part II for NIST Boulder B1E Cleanroom and B1E Fit-up design

Project Description: A project assessment was substantially completed which includes the following: 1. Scientific Program Assessment including preliminary layouts with equipment/tools identified: a. A layout and process flow diagram for Options A and B (subsequently changed to read as Options C1 (9,000SF) C2 (18,000SF) and C3), b. Documented changes to the Scientific Program Assessment. 2. A review of the previously completed construction documents were reviewed to determine the changes to be made as required by the updated Scientific Program Assessment; a. A Discipline-by-discipline review of the current B1# Basic of Design Report, drawings, specifications, schedules, calculations, and product data to report any major discrepancies and deficiences and improvements. 3. Conducted three project cost assessments reflecting a project cost estimate and market condition survey. A project workshop was held at NIST on August 6 and 7 where the project assessments were presented and reviewed. The Cleanroom Fit-up Design was nitiated and achieved 95% completion on September 4. Electronic and hard copies of the Project Assessment were submitted on August 5. 50% electronic copies of the specifications and drawings were submitted on August 17. 95% electronic copies of the specifications and drawings were submitted on September 4. 100% electronic copies of the specifications and drawings were submitted on September 11 and integrated into a larger B1EB/Enhancement package for bidding. Several project and progress meetings were conducted on site at NIST Boulder and as well by 'Live Meeting.'
