Award Description: 1. EXERCISE OPTION 1, PHASE 2 ? Construction services in the amount of $34,914,000.00. 2. EXERCISE OPTION 1, PHASE 2, ALTERNATE No. 7 ? Blast Windows in the amount of $1,400,000.00. 3. Provide all labor, materials and equipment for additional services for Lessons Learned in Phase 1 in the amount of $2,500,000.00. 4. Provide all labor, materials and equipment to provide pricing for Escalation and Late Start of Phase 2 for the amount of $4,600,000.00.
Project Description: During this calendar quarter, Grunley construction has completed all construction mobilization activities, including establishing communications, field offices and site layout and site security. The mechanical and electrical contractors have established temporary power and water and have successfully cut and capped the majority of the phase 2 area. Once these activities were completed, the surveying, protection and salvage of existing materials and fixtures were completed. Subsequently, the selective demolition of the sixth and seventh floors, fifth floor and ground floor has been completed. As the demolition in these areas was completed they entered into asbestos containment. Currently, the seventh floor asbestos containment has been completed with sections of the sixth and ground floor remaining. The fifth floor began containment last week, 9/16/09, and the sub-basement is currently being prepped for containment.
