Award Description: The Georgia Ports Authority was awarded an EDA American Recovery Program Public Works and Economic Development Facilites Grant for the realignment of Container Berths 4, 5, and 6 which will allow the container stacks to be parallel to the dock, accessed by RTGs (rubber tired gantry cranes) for terminal densification, full utilization of the automatic inventory and terminal operating systems in this container field area while upgrading almost 40 year old asphaltic pavement.
