Award Description: PS58 - Scope of work includes demolition, removal, and disposal of existing HVAC ductwork, installation and appunenances on Floors 5, 6, 8, 1 South and Passenger Elevator Lobbies in conjunction with the 'Recovery' Upgrade of the HVAC System on the same floors. PS63 - Design/Build Bridging Services for the HVAC Upgrades on Floors 5, 6, 8, and 1 South, as well as upgrade Air Handling Units on 1 North, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, and 7th Floors.

Project Description: PS58: PDG continued with demolition of the existing air distribution system (not including the mechanical rooms) at the 5th floor north. Work was completed on August 6. Duct demolition at the 5th floor south was ongoing, and recently resumed in Phase 3, South East sector. PS63. SEI awarded a subcontract to the mechanical subcontractor, Multi Mechanical. Multi-Mechanical, submitted 60% design drawings for only the 5th floor on July 28th. Several review meetings were held with GSA who provided written comments in early September. Multi-Mechanical conducted onsite investigations and began to lay-out the new duct runs in Phases 1,2 and 4 at the 5th floor. It also submitted material submittals, and started work on its 90% design. SEI performed administrative and project management functions, such as submitting an acceptable SOV and payment application, updating the CPM and adding an ARRA fragnet that projects start and finish dates for specific ARRA work activities. It also performed miscellaneous GC management such as subcontractor/owner coordination, contract administration, and security clearances.
