Award Description: Construction Management Services for the Envelope Improvements at the Robert A Young Federal building.CM services includes the Preconstruction Phase toAttend and comment on bi-weekly design meetings (every two weeks) starting in Mid Sep. 2009 through Feb. 2010;Review 'long lead' item list, 50% design, and 95% design documents, and estimates, and provide constructive comments for accuracy and quality of content;Review the proposed schedule, and schedule of values; Provide suggestions for improving the schedule.Review, track and coordinate the contractor's comments& RFls.Prepare, estimate, negotiate, and track change orders, and contractor requests for changes.Review contractor's pay request and process government forms for payment. Envelope Improvements at the RAY building - Evaluation, design development and eventual repair to the exterior facade. The project will consist of 2 Phases Preconstruction Design, and Construction Execution. An ME study of the external building condition will be conducted simultaneously during the Preconstruction phase. During the Preconstruction phase, the contractor will work with the Government to finalize the schedule, design, and estimate. The following is the estimated schedule of events: a. Facade Study started 8/09, complete 10/09 b. A/E Design started 10/09, complete 2/10 c. CMc construction services started on 2/10, complete 9/11
