Award Description: Head Start 2009 ARRA COLA Quality Improvement Funding. This Award funds a COLA increase in salaries and wages of 1.84% in the amount of $89,704 for Head Start and $9,300 for Early Head Start. In addition Quality Improvement funds are awarded in the amount of $240,741 for Head Start and $38,911 for Early Head Start. These funds are to be used for Health Insurance and a L.P.N. position. The L.P.N. is due to strart employment on 10-12-1209.
Project Description: The purpose of this award is to ensure that the employees of Community Action Southwest receive a COLA increase and that their Health Insurance is maintained. These funds were used to achieve the activities previously stated.
