Award Description: Schematic design for all discipline for building shell & core and tenant spaces for the building. Design excellence program concept design related to a new building entry, security screening, physical security, MEP renovations, high performance building elements, and art in architecture. Design Development for all discipline for building shell & core and tenant spaces for the building. Drilling of test bore for geothermal field, testing of bore, engineering of geothermal bore field.
Project Description: HVAC schematic design, including modeling, calculations, and phasing have been completed. Architectural tenant blocking diagrams and common area schematic design has been completed. Investigative work, including on-site window removal and replacement and hands-on building façade evaluations have been completed. Design services, peer reviews, GSA reviews, GSA Region 1 presentation, and Public Building Commissioner presentation for the above items. Concept approved by the Public Building Commissioner on September 30, 2009. Design development of tenant spaces and HVAC system is in progress. HVAC design development modeling and calculations are being performed; tenant revisions to schematic plans are continuing.
