Award Description: 1. Purpose of the supplement - This is a request for salary support for a postdoctoral research associate to continue work begun on this project by a former postdoctoral fellow. The former postdoctoral fellow was a vital component of our current NIGMS-funded R01 titled 'The Role of Arf Family GTPases in Endocytosis and Postendocytic Recycling', which is now in its third year of funding. 2. How this supplement fits in the scope of the parent award - The parent grant has three specific aims: 1) to define the role of Arf6 in endocytosis and postendocytic transport; 2) to characterize the function of the BRAG class of Arf-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factors, and 3) to define the functional relationship between Arf6 and monomeric adaptor proteins. The former postdoctoral fellow was working on aspects of this project related to specific aims 1 and 3, and was the only team member working on Aim 1. Thus replacing this member of my research team is vital to the completion of the stated goals of the project, and the goals of the project are entirely within the scope of the parent award.

Project Description: See Award Description; I am currently advertising for a new postdoctoral fellow.
