Award Description: Program Title: Adaptive Combustor Technology for the High Energy Efficient Turbine Engine (HEETE) Program The objective of the Adaptive Combustor Program for HEETE is to explore the combustion technologies needed for a combustor that can tailor fuel efficiency, as well as NOx, green house gas, smoke and particulate emissions, across the engine operating envelope for ultra-efficient, high-pressure-ratio engines. Statement of Objectives: Specific objectives of this delivery order are: 1.) Define the engine performance and combustor design requirements 2.) Assess the technology options for the proposed combustor 3.) Evaluate the combustor technology options and concepts 4.) Define a combustor conceptual design
