Award Description: The assistance agreement provides funding to Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control under the American Recovery and Reinvestiment Act of 2009. This grant will fund 1) the installation of diesel particulate filters on 27 heavy duty trucks and 50 school buses, 2) the installation of a truck stop electrification facility for approximately 20 tractor trailer spaces at the Smyrna Rest Area, and 3) the replacement of two diesel generators at the Fort Delaware State Park.
Project Description: Purchase order for diesel particulate filters for school buses has been sent to the vendor. Recipient is preparing a draft RFQ for obtaining bids on a truckstop electrification facility.
Infrastructure Description: Truck Stop Electrification Project will equipped 20 tractor trailer spaces at the Smyrna Rest Area with auxiliary heating and cooling service that the drivers.
