Award Description: ARRA Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) and Quality Improvement Funding consistent with the provisions of Section 640(a)(5) of the Head Start Act.
Project Description: Recruiting for new job positions. Began distribution of 1.84% Cost-Of-Living (COLA) to Head Start/Early Head Start staff and began Quality salary increases to Head Start/Early Head Start staff identified in the grant application. Completed the playground resurfacing at our Theodore M. Berry Head Start Center.
Jobs Summary: NEW POSITIONS created are seven as follows: (Unfilled) One Program Recruiter; One Educational Counselor - Consultant; Three substitute teachers. (Filled) One Program Recruiter-Consultant. AND SUB-GRANTEE(s) filled One newly created job of Staff Educational Assistant JOBS RETAINED: Retention of nine FTE equivalent for payment of COLA and retention of 4.31 subgrantee teaching staff. (Total jobs reported: 15)
