Award Description: DEQ will address upland sources of sediment for the recovery of coral reefs within Laolao Bay. Proposed work includes re-vegetation of deforested areas and elimination of unsustainable beach activities through education and outreach.

Project Description: Two (2) Requests for Proposals for the Program Manager and Marine Ecologist are in the process of being published under RFP10-DEQ-09 for the Marine Ecologist and RFP10-DEQ-10 for the Program Manager. Position descriptions for remaining personnel (Project Coordinator, Field Coordinator, Project Administrator and Entry Level Ecologist) have also been drafted and in the process of being announced. We hope to fill these positions and obligate most of our funding within a months time.

Jobs Summary: As stated above in the Quarterly Activities, 2 RFPs for Program Manager and Marine Ecologist are in the publication process and a job vacancy nnnouncement for 4 personnel will be published this week. A total of 6 jobs will be created. (Total jobs reported: 0)
