Award Description: Repave Runway 16-34, Taxiway 1-19 and Aprons at Pacific Missile Range, Barking Sands, Kauai, Hawaii. The work includes, but is not limited to, sawcutting and cold mill planing up to 4' of the existing asphalt concrete pavement of the runway, taxiway, and aprons, sealing deep cracks below milling area, and repaving with up to 4' of new asphalt concrete pavement. Project also includes restriping of the runway, taxiway, and aprons, including runway/threshold markings and other airfield pavement markings with new retro reflective white paint.
Project Description: Mobilization including project management, administration, operators and laborers. Additional acitivies included installation of silk fence and erosion control, cold mill planing, placement of asphalt,crack sealing, and saw cutting of existing AC pavement..
Jobs Summary: Laborers: Fill backfill, grade and landscape and perform skilled and unskilled labor connected therewith. Assist in the wrecking and dismantling of building and other structures. Clean up procedures to include removal of debris. Form watchman duties, including flagman, garbage and debris handler, dump man, fire watch, and tending of heaters and pumps. Prepare, handle and convey materials whether by hand or any other process. Does general cleanup including sweeping, cleaning and wiping of construction site or equipment and removal and loading of all debris. Operators: Operate and maintain equipment used for hoisting, excavating, associated backfilling (as pertains to their trade), grading, boring, drilling, material handling (as pertains to their trade), and survey for work.
