Award Description: The Detroit Transportation Corporation (DTC) will use $133,125 in ARRA funds to improve the HVAC and lighting in their Maintenance and Control Facility (MCF). The HVAC & lighting improvements at the MCF will detail the installation of energy efficient equipment, improve the air quality in the facilities, and provide a safer more pleasing work environment. The MCF is located next to the new Detroit Department of Transportation Rosa Parks Transit Center. Concern has been expressed regarding the increased levels of diesel particulates being drawn into our building from the idling busses. This HVAC improvement will address this concern.
