Award Description: STTR Phase II: Abrasion Resistant Ultrahydrophobic Coatings for Corrosion, Erosion and Wear
Project Description: This Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Phase II project will enable the further development of abrasion resistant, environmentally friendly, ultrahydrophobic coating formulations. These novel abrasion resistant ultrahydrophobic coating formulations will be optimized for application on specific commercially important substrates such as plastic, concrete, asphalt, wood, glass, fabrics, and metal. The improved, abrasion resistant ultrahydrophobic coatings will have significant commercial applications in the maritime, automotive, aviation, transportation infrastructure, and building industries.
